Description / Canal House "Cheese shop" - Anno 1730

The house at Singel 87 was built close to the Torensluis bridge, a wide bridge over the Singel. This channel dates back to the 15th century and it was one of the most important accesses to the medieval city. In the cellars below the house were prison cells. Nowadays the bridge is used as a terrace in summer. The house has a bell shaped facade and 5 floors. In this version of the miniature house the frontage is provided with a cheese shop. It is accurately colored and decorated on all sides and comes in a plastic gift box. This canal house is made of polystone and the cottage is 11.5 cm high, 6 cm deep and 4 cm wide.
