Delft Blue Cheeseboards
A slice of Gouda or Edam simply tastes better on a Delft Blue cheese board. Here you'll find ceramic cheese boards and wooden boards set with a Delft Blue tile, decorated with windmills, tulip fields, fishermen and Amsterdam canal houses. Many come complete with a cheese knife, cheese slicer or cutlery set, and you'll also find matching cheese knife sets. A practical and decorative Dutch gift for anyone who loves cheese.
Delft Blue cheese boards: two Dutch classics in one
Cheese and Delft Blue: few things are more Dutch. In the seventeenth century, potters in Delft began making their famous blue-and-white earthenware, inspired by the Chinese porcelain that the Dutch East India Company (VOC) brought back to Holland. At the same time, Dutch cheese was already being traded around the world. A Delft Blue cheese board brings both traditions to the table, whether for drinks with friends, a lazy lunch or as the centrepiece of a buffet.
De Holland Winkel is based in Edam, the town that gave its name to one of the world's best-known cheeses. We have been selling Dutch souvenirs and Delft Blue since 2002, and on this page we've gathered all our cheese boards in the Delft Blue style.
Which Delft Blue cheese boards can you choose from?
Ceramic cheese boards
Made entirely of ceramic with a glossy finish and classic Delft Blue designs, such as windmills or an Amsterdam cityscape. Lovely for serving and easy to keep clean.
Wooden cheese boards with a tile
A sturdy wooden board with a handle and an inlaid Delft Blue tile. The tiles show typical Dutch scenes: a windmill in a tulip field, a fisherman by the water or a nostalgic village view.
Boards with a knife, slicer or cutlery
Looking for a complete gift? Choose a cheese board with a matching cheese slicer, a cheese knife or a small cutlery set. We also offer separate cheese knife sets in a gift box.
Polychrome tiles and table accessories
Alongside classic blue and white, you'll find boards with a multicoloured (polychrome) tile, such as a Dutch landscape. Complete your table with a Delft Blue tile hotplate or coaster.
A typically Dutch gift for cheese lovers
A cheese board is a gift that actually gets used. Most boards are compact and easy to wrap, so they are just as suitable for taking home in your suitcase as for sending to family and friends abroad.
- ✓For visitors to Holland: an authentic Delft Blue souvenir that won't end up hidden in a cupboard.

- ✓For yourself: turn every cheese platter into a small piece of Dutch tradition.
Frequently asked questions about Delft Blue cheese boards
Can I cut cheese directly on the tile? +
The boards are made for serving and cutting cheese. To keep the decoration looking its best, we recommend cutting on the wooden part of the board or using a cheese slicer rather than a sharp knife.
How do I clean a Delft Blue cheese board? +
We recommend washing the boards by hand in lukewarm water with a mild washing-up liquid. Don't leave wooden boards to soak, and dry them straight away. That way both the wood and the tile stay beautiful.
Do you ship cheese boards internationally? +
Yes. We ship within the Netherlands and worldwide, and pack every cheese board carefully so it arrives in one piece. See our shipping costs for all destinations.
Can I order cheese boards in larger quantities as corporate gifts? +
Certainly. Visit our B2B page or email info@hollandwinkel.nl to discuss the options.
Can I add a personal message? +
Yes, we'll include a free card with your message. Would you like the gift beautifully wrapped? Choose from our gift wrapping.
