De Holland Winkel cares deeply about your privacy. We only process data we need for (improving) our services, and handle the information we've gathered about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This policy applies to your use of the website and the services offered through it. Publishing a new version supersedes all previous versions. Below you can read what data we collect, what we use it for, who it may be shared with, how we secure it, and what rights you have.

These parties process data on our behalf, each with its own role.
Our webshop runs on Magento, and we host it with LeaseWeb. Personal data you share with us for our services is shared with this party for technical support, and never used for any other purpose. Security consists of SSL encryption, a strong password policy, and regular back-ups.
We send newsletters via MailChimp; every automated email includes an unsubscribe link. MailChimp uses cookies to see whether emails are opened and read. Our regular business email runs through Gmail — this party has no access to our mailbox.
Payments are handled through MultiSafepay, which processes your name, address, and payment details under appropriate security measures, and doesn't retain data longer than legally permitted.
We collect reviews via WebwinkelKeur. Leaving a review means providing your name and email address; these are used only to link the review to your order, or to invite you to leave one.
To deliver orders, we share your name, address, and city with PostNL, which uses this data solely to carry out delivery — including when it engages subcontractors.
For our administration, we share your name, address, city, and order details with E-Boekhouden.nl, which is bound to confidentiality and uses this data only for invoicing.
We use your data solely for our services, never for targeted marketing without your explicit consent. We only share data with third parties to meet accounting and administrative obligations; all such parties are bound to confidentiality.
Data such as IP address, browser, and operating system are collected automatically to improve our services; this does not count as personal data.
Where legally required, we may be compelled to share your data in connection with a government tax or criminal investigation; we resist this wherever the law allows.
We keep your customer profile for as long as you remain a customer, and no longer than two years after your last contact or transaction — unless the law requires otherwise. Invoices are kept for the legally required period, though staff no longer have access to your profile by then.
Under Dutch and European law, you have the rights listed below as a data subject. Send a request to our privacy officer; you'll receive a reply within 30 days, and copies go to the email address we have on file for you.
You may view what data we process about you, including an overview of the processors involved.
You may have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
You may have the processing of your data restricted.
You may have your data transferred to another party; we may not be able to continue our services to you afterward.
If you object, we immediately halt processing while your objection is handled; if it's upheld, we stop processing permanently.
You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling — something we don't apply to you. And you can always file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
