Food Gifts
Rest a stroopwafel on top of your cup of tea or coffee, wait until the syrup softens, then take a bite. That is the Netherlands in one mouthful. Our Dutch food gifts bring together all the classics: stroopwafels in Delft Blue tins, old-fashioned Dutch sweets, liquorice, Haagse hopjes, speculoos, peppermints, chocolate and Dutch cheese. Buy them on their own, in a keepsake tin, or as a complete Dutch gift package for someone who misses Holland or has never tasted it.
Dutch food gifts: a taste of Holland to share
Ask anyone who has visited the Netherlands what they brought home, and the answer is often something edible. A tin of stroopwafels, a wedge of aged Gouda, a bag of liquorice that surprised everyone at the office. Dutch food is simple, honest and instantly recognisable, which makes it one of the most popular souvenirs from Holland.
De Holland Winkel has been selling Dutch souvenirs and gifts since 2002, from our shop in Edam, the town that gave its name to Edam cheese. In this category you will find all our Dutch treats in one place, from a small tin of peppermints to generously filled gift baskets. Many come in packaging worth keeping, such as Delft Blue tins, Van Gogh and Vermeer designs, and ceramic dishes.

Food is a safe choice: everyone eats, and a Dutch flavour is either new or nostalgic for almost anyone. Because many treats come in a decorative tin or ceramic dish, there is still a souvenir left once the sweets are gone.

Frequently asked questions about Dutch food gifts
Do you ship Dutch food gifts abroad? +
Yes, we ship within the Netherlands and worldwide. Please note that some countries have their own rules on importing food, particularly dairy products such as cheese. Stroopwafels, sweets and peppermints are usually the easiest to send. See our shipping costs for all destinations.
How long do the treats keep? +
It depends on the product. Stroopwafels, sweets, peppermints and speculoos in tins keep well, which makes them ideal for gifting or posting. Store them somewhere dry and not too warm. For cheese, always check the best-before date on the packaging.
Can I order larger quantities as corporate gifts? +
Certainly. For trade fairs, hotels, conferences or staff Christmas hampers, we are happy to supply larger quantities. Visit our B2B page or email info@hollandwinkel.nl.
Can I add a personal message? +
Yes, we include a free card with your message. Want to make it extra special? Choose one of our gift wrapping options.
