Description / Delft blue tile - Prinsenhof , 15 cm

Delft blue tile with a picture of the Prinsenhof in Delft. The prinsenhof was initially called St. Agatha Convent, after the Reformation, the building complex was split into the second half of the sixteenth century in separate parts used. Part of the chapel remained as now Reformed church space in use and in the long south wing were still living some nuns tolerated. The rest of the buildings were decorated as court of Prince William of Orange, who from 1572 to 1584 regularly stayed at the St. Agatha Convent. Therefore, it is since then known as the Prinsenhof. In 1584 William of Orange was in Prinsenhof assassinated by Balthasar Gerards. Is it possible to either cement the tile into a wall, or to simply hang it on a hook, or display it on a stand. Size: approximately 15 cm x 15 cm.
