Buy typical Dutch souvenirs: a little piece of Holland to take home
A good souvenir tells you at a glance where it comes from. A wooden clog, a tulip that never wilts, a windmill with turning sails or a row of crooked canal houses: everyone recognises them as Dutch straight away. That is why they make such good gifts for a friend who has moved abroad, a grandchild growing up far away or a business partner visiting the Netherlands. And if you live abroad yourself, they bring a little bit of home into your house.
De Holland Winkel has been selling Dutch souvenirs since 2002. In this category you will find everything from small and affordable to special and lasting, neatly organised into dozens of subcategories.

The stories behind the Dutch icons
Every souvenir carries a bit of history. For centuries, wooden clogs kept the feet of farmers, fishermen and labourers dry on the soggy Dutch soil. The tulip arrived in the Netherlands from the Ottoman Empire at the end of the sixteenth century. Botanist Carolus Clusius grew the first bulbs in the botanical garden in Leiden, and during the Golden Age the flower became so sought after that it sparked the famous tulip mania. And the windmills that once drained the polders, ground grain and sawed timber are still the first image many people associate with the Netherlands.
Amsterdam has its own place in the collection too. The city's canal ring has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010, and its narrow canal houses with their stepped, neck and bell gables appear on magnets, mugs and as miniature canal houses. Prefer something more artistic? Our museum souvenirs feature work by Van Gogh, Vermeer and Rembrandt. And the kissing couple, a farmer and his wife in traditional dress sharing a kiss, has been a favourite wedding and anniversary gift for decades.

Not sure what to choose? A cheese slicer or cheese board together with a piece of Dutch cheese is always a practical and recognisable gift.
Do you ship souvenirs abroad? +
Yes. We ship within the Netherlands and worldwide. Our shipping costs page lists the countries we deliver to. Smaller gifts can also be sent as a letterbox gift, so the recipient does not need to be home to receive it.
Can I add a personal message? +

I am looking for a Sinterklaas or Christmas gift to send abroad. Any tips? +
Combine a souvenir with something tasty, such as speculaas, stroopwafels or Dutch liquorice, or choose a ready-made Dutch gift package. For the tree, we have Delft Blue Christmas decorations. Do order in good time: around the holidays, international post often takes longer.
Can I order souvenirs in larger quantities for my company? +
