Volendam Souvenirs

The pointed white lace cap of Volendam is so famous that many people abroad imagine the whole of the Netherlands dresses like the Volendammers. In this fishing village on the Markermeer, just down the road from our own Edam, visitors still have their picture taken in traditional costume, and at De Holland Winkel you can bring that piece of Volendam home. Choose a Volendam costume for women, boys or girls, a doll in traditional dress, or a salt and pepper set shaped like a Volendam couple. You will also find mugs, cotton bags, bottle openers and fridge magnets featuring the harbour and the village’s well-known gabled houses. A lovely reminder of a day out in Volendam, or a gift for anyone who carries the village in their heart.
