Delft Blue Mill Vases
A windmill beside the water, a polder stretching to the horizon, all in that unmistakable blue on white: that is the scene on our Delft Blue mill vases. Choose from ball vases, belly vases, chalice vases, slender and square shapes, tulip vases and little bud vases, each decorated with the classic Dutch mill landscape. From a small vase for the windowsill to a luxury ball vase that takes centre stage in the living room, it's a typically Dutch gift for anyone who loves the Netherlands.
Delft Blue windmill vases: two Dutch icons in one
Few things say "Holland" quite like a windmill and Delft Blue. When the Dutch East India Company brought Chinese porcelain to the Netherlands in the seventeenth century, potters in Delft began making their own blue-and-white earthenware in the same style. Before long they were painting their own surroundings on it: fishing boats, farms, polders and, of course, windmills. The mill landscape became one of the best-loved motifs in the Delft Blue tradition, and it still is today.
The Netherlands once had thousands of windmills pumping water from the polders, grinding grain and sawing timber. More than a thousand still turn today, from the mills of Kinderdijk to the Zaanse Schans. A Delft Blue windmill vase brings a piece of that Dutch landscape into your home. De Holland Winkel has been selling Dutch souvenirs and Delft Blue since 2002, and in this category you'll find all our vases with a windmill design in one place.
Which Delft Blue mill vases can you choose from?
Ball vases and belly vases
Full, rounded shapes that show the mill landscape all the way round. The large luxury models make a real statement on a sideboard or windowsill, while the smaller versions fit in anywhere.
Chalice vases and slender vases
Graceful and elegant. A chalice or slender vase is perfect for a few single stems or branches and suits both classic and modern interiors.
Round and square vases
Compact vases in various heights with a Delft Blue windmill motif. Small in size but big on character, and easy to pack in your suitcase as a souvenir.
Tulip vases and vases with tulips
Windmills and tulips: the perfect Dutch pairing. Choose a tulip vase, a spout vase or a little vase that comes filled with wooden tulips, which stay in bloom all year round.
A typically Dutch gift for every occasion
A Delft Blue windmill vase is a gift that's hard to get wrong. It's decorative, recognisably Dutch and will look lovely for years. With small and large models to choose from, there's always a vase to suit the occasion and your budget.

Yes. We ship within the Netherlands and worldwide, so you can surprise family and friends abroad with a genuine Dutch gift. Fragile items such as vases are packed with care.

Dusting with a soft cloth is usually all it needs. To clean it, use lukewarm water with a drop of washing-up liquid and rinse by hand. That way the decoration stays at its best.
